The youth ministry called H. M. RAGE began in 1985 over the long weekend in June, as an initiative led by a group of Auckland Open Brethren church youth leaders. Originally ‘HM RAGE’ stood for ‘Her Majesty’s… Rather A Grand Event’ in honour of the Queen’s birthday celebrated over that weekend. Since beginning, the ministry has grown to become a valuable mission tool that is used by a number of North Island youth communities across a variety of denominations.
Our mission for Rage:
'A Gospel centred, Jesus focused Youth Camp'
Our purpose for Rage:
RAGE is more than a camp — it is a weekend where God impacts hearts — the result of which echoes long after it ends.
We Reach
We Build
We Release
We Celebrate
RAGE exists to boldly share the Gospel with young people, creating powerful moments where they can clearly hear, understand, and respond to Jesus.
Over seventy unforgettable hours, faith is strengthened, friendships are formed, worship is alive, and truth is spoken. It’s a space where young people grow closer to God and reflect a real, vibrant Church.
Through creative arts, talent quests, leadership opportunities, and serving on crew, youth are encouraged to step into their gifts and discover their God-given potential.
Sport, games, music, food, laughter — RAGE is full of life… after all, Jesus came to give us life in all its fullness.
