We need you: support the HM Rage leadership team with your skills…

The HM Rage leadership team is responsible for organising every aspect of camp – from the epic programme to the entertaining talent quest, all ministry elements, camp communications and visuals, as well as speakers and worship – the works.

In 2018 we’re looking for a small handful of talented youth leaders (or youth) willing to volunteer skills to support us in the lead-up and, at-times, during camp. At this stage, we need: a ministry team member, programme team member and photo and video team member. (More roles may crop up, so keep an ear out).

For more information, take a look at the brief role descriptions below. If any of the roles excite you, get in touch with us as soon as you can (ideally during March) and we’ll discuss the position further with you.

Ministry team member

  • Description: The ministry team seeks to cover all of HM Rage in prayer. We have space for one person to join our team and pray before camp, during camp and after camp. At camp, main duties include intercessory prayer during sessions, running one prayer meeting in the morning, and shifts in the prayer room.
  • Time investment: 1-2 meetings (Skype), 1 meeting at Totara Springs 2 weeks before camp, 1-2 days of fasting and prayer, 2 hours per week HM Rage prayer, and time at camp to be negotiated.
  • Ideal skills: Must be a committed Christian, who loves Jesus, knows the Scriptures and is comfortable praying alone, in groups and with youth. Must come with great references from their home church, and ideally be aged over 18.
  • One-off or ongoing role: Either! We can discuss…

Programme team member

  • Description: The programme team decides what activity happens at camp and when. We’re looking for one person to work alongside HM Rage director Jono Bay to brainstorm programme ideas, plan Late Night Show content, help ensure the MCs have the right info at the right time during camp, and provide other ‘hands-on’ help to make sure the programme runs smoothly.
  • Time investment: A couple of hours per week in the lead up to camp as directed by Jono; approximately 3 team meetings pre-camp, and time during camp to be negotiated.
  • Ideal skills: Creativity, great organisation skills and a high level of confidence are key to this role.
  • One-off or ongoing role: Either! We can discuss…
  • Contact: Jono Bay - jonoabay@gmail.com

Photo and video team member

  • Description: The photo and video team is responsible for capturing compelling images and video content during camp. We’re looking for someone to join them. You will take photos and video and edit with the team at the end of the day. You don’t need a fancy camera to undertake this role - we will provide you with one to use during the weekend.
  • Time investment: At least 1 whole day of camp to shoot with the team. (Don’t fret - we can make sure you don’t miss out specific things you want to do).
  • Ideal skills: An interest in photography and videography. The more experience of your own, the better! It would be helpful if you sent through an example or two of your own work.
  • One-off or ongoing role: Either! We can discuss…
